Today’s brew is an updated port from a sweet list that Sam Black 5-0’d with back when Pioneer was still beautiful. The strategy centers around ramping with extra land plays, drawing on creatures like Ramunap Excavator, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, Wayward Swordtooth, and even The Gitrog Monster.

The deck gets some new tools from Zendikar Rising, starting with Lotus Cobra. Now, when we start going off with multiple land drops, Cobra pays us off big time, even just popping all the Clues that Tireless Tracker gives us.

Nissa of Shadowed Boughs is our “Eternal Witness” effect that will be difficult to kill with damage as we start turboing through our deck. The lands either Nissa animates has synergy with Sylvan Advocate.

Finally, Turntimber Symbiosis give the mana base a little more punch. It’s a land early when we need one, but late game it’s a faux-tutor for our Gitfrogs, Scute Swam, or even Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger.
This strategy is probably one of the fairest ways to make use of extra land drops, so we might just be barking up the wrong tree. But it’s nice to see the Golgari Lands package a get a few new tools to play around with.
